Step 1: Fold one page of a magazine in half the same that was done to create the magazine bowl (http://bit.ly/YAIp3C)
Step 2: Cut the page where the fold/creases were made.
Step 3:  Keep 4 strips the same long size.

Halloween Stay True to the Blue

image

So this year for Halloween I had a costume in mind which was going to be a Dodger talent scout. I have a shirt that says talent scout on it and I was going to wear Dodger blue sweats and wear my Dodgers hat, but things changed the day of Halloween.

I had lost a bet on October 28th when the Giants swept the tigers for the World Series. Since I lost this bet I then had to buy a Giants hat and wear it and take a picture. Well, I had bought the SF hat on Monday online and then I received it on Wednesday which was Halloween. When I heard that the SF hat arrived I then thought of a new costume.

The costume that came to mind was a beat up SF fan. I figures since I had to wear the hat I might as well spice it up some.

So here is what it takes to make this simple Halloween costume.

Materials needed for this DIY project:

  • White Tank Top
  • Mascara
  • Red Eyeliner
  • Black & Brown Eyeshadow
  • Orange Paint
  • Scissors
  • Ripped Jeans
  • SF Giants hat

Step 1: Lay out the white tank top and find the center of the shirt.
Step 2: Draw the SF logo on the shirt and then paint it with the orange paint.
Step 3:  Start making random marks on the shirt with the mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadows.
Step 4:  Cut random slits in the shirt and rip them. (This then completes the shirt.
Step 5: To do the make up you use the eye shadows to make a black eye around one eye, then use the red eyeliner to make cuts on your face.
Step 6:  Put the hat on and tilt it to the side like it got knocked a little bit.
Step 7:  Enjoy your homemade beat up SF Giants fan Halloween costume. And that is how you make this amazing costume in under 10 easy steps!

  • Eggs
  • Water
  • Oil

Step 1: Mix your cake mix just like you would do if you were making regular cupcakes. Following the instructions on the box
Step 2: Divide the cake mix into different bowls. The number of bowls will depend on the number of different colors you want to have. (I did 6 different colors, there for I used 6 different bowls.)
Step 3:  Add food coloring to each bowl to get the desire colors.
Step 4:  Add one color cake mix to the bottom of each cupcake.
Step 5: Add the second color just drizzling it on top of the first color.
Step 6:  Continue adding different colors until your cupcake is about 3/4 of the way to the top.
Step 7:  Bake the cupcakes according to the instructions on the cake box. (Time and degrees might change depending on brand of cake mix as well as where you are)
Step 8:  Take the cupcakes out and let them cool down. And that is how you make these awesome crazy cupcakes in under 10 easy steps!

Tips:

  • Be careful when taking cupcakes out of the oven not to burn your self.
  • You can choose to add frosting to them once they are cooled off.
  • If you want colored frosting all you have to do is buy white frosting and add some food coloring to it.

Baseball String Bracelet

Last night I went to the last Dodgers game of the season and I got inspired to create a craft that was very baseball oriented. After searching and searching I found this bracelet made out of an actual baseball that I fell in love with. I never want to take mine off now, it’s so cute! I already can’t wait until next season so I can sport it at the Dodgers games.

Materials needed for this DIY project:

  • A Baseball (I love the look of the old baseball but you can do new if you prefer)
  • A X-acto Knife

Step 1: Cut out the stitches of the baseball.

Step 2: You now need to remove the leather pieces. It can be kind of tough because of the adhesive but use a little will power and you will be able to get those leather pieces off!

Step 3:  Now that you have taken both leather pieces off, remove the stitching. It will still be in one piece at this point in time.

Step 4:  Set aside the baseball and leather pieces because you will no longer need them for this project.

Step 5: Find the point on the stitching where the stitching begins. Cut the leather at this point. Do not cut off any of the stitching though beca

use you still need it.

Step 6:  Find the middle

of the stitching and cut it in half. Once in half start unraveling the ends.

Step 7:  Once your bracelet is unraveled to the desired length that will fit your wrist you then want to cut the excess leather off.

Step 8: Next braid each end of the stitching.

Step 9: Tie the bracelet onto your wrist. I simply just knotted it and it worked just fine for me.

And there you have it how to make a bracelet out of a baseball in under 10 easy steps!

Tips:

  • Use an older used ball for that old authentic look or use a new ball for that more new fashionable look.
  • Be very careful when using the knife and always cut away from your body.
  • Bracelet will be a little bit sticky from the adhesive but give it a few days and you will have it worn in and youwill no longer notice it.
